Our Father, who art in Heaven
You are such a good God, a God who reigns on high and is working in so many powerful ways. We worship you. We stand in awe of you. And we recognize your vastness.
Hallowed be Your name
At the sound of your name brings healing, freedom, truth, and forgiveness. We worship your name, speak your name, and call on your name. We trust in your name for these things this summer.
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven
God, we ask that your kingdom would reign in our hearts, in the summer staff teams, in all the youth groups that visit a community this summer, and in the communities we will be entering. Expand your kingdom. Draw people near to you. May we do Your will this summer; not the will of Next Step, the will of any youth group, or the will of any community. But solely, Your will.
Give us this day our daily bread
We trust you for the needs of this ministry, specifically for this upcoming summer. We pray for safety, we pray for your presence on the worksites, and we pray for an abundance of your grace as we facilitate trips in each of the communities we serve in.
Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors
Create in us a pure heart. Continue to shape and mold us as a ministry and forgive us in the areas we continue to fall short. We ask for an abundance of grace to those we encounter on a daily basis, that we may be givers of forgiveness…limitless forgiveness.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
We humbly come before you, and ask that we would not be tempted in pride. As a ministry, we ask and desire for you to be sought out above Next Step, above a foot, and above the ways we have structured this ministry.
For Yours is the kingdom, power, glory, forever!
All in all God, we ask that You would be made famous this summer. Teach us to become bold. Speak through us, that our lips may continually give you praise. May your Holy Spirit be present in our speech, actions and conduct, so that people may give You glory as our Father in Heaven.
Amen.
